Wanted

"You're WANTED Beloved"

I'm in college but I hang around many high schoolers. I'm a young life leader at one of the high schools in the City, and I've witnessed so much pain and longing for someone to tell these kids that they are loved. I've seen multiple young ladies look to high school boys to tell them that they are beautiful. Yet this compliment usually comes with a grave price.

Who's there to tell these girls that they are wanted? Who's there to tell YOU that you are seriously Loved beyond humanely possible?
A lot of us women place who we are into guys, and the world around us. These guys provide for us the "love" that maybe we don't get at home. These guys make us feel wanted, and that we are beautiful. They give us value.

But I'm here to tell you that you are already wanted by a man. A beautiful man who wants to cradle you into his arms. This Man longs to give you the world, he wants to present to you a prefect life spent with him. He desires to know your likes and your dislikes. He would NEVER hurt you. And perhaps you've heard that before but this Man PROVED his love for you. Did you know that he calls you beloved?
Beloved: Dearly loved; a much loved person. Synonyms: sweetheart, darling, favorite,
He knew that the only way to save your life from eminent death, was to be tout urged, beaten, and bloodied on your behalf. He was killed so that you might know him. That you might recognize his immense love for you. Jesus was his name.
Jesus, our savior, was killed so that we could finally be free. He wanted us to know true love. Better than Romeo and Juliet. Better than the Notebook. We now know God.

Your worth comes from JESUS. Jesus is the man you seek. You look for him in guys. You look for him in food. You look for this love in material fleeting things of this world; money, sex, porn, power you name it. YOU WILL NEVER FIND TRUE LOVE IN THESE THINGS. Only through the author of love can you find it.

He wants to intimately know you. To love you. Seriously. Real. No faking. Will you answer his call beloved? Will you let him be your savior?

He's a gentleman. He's patient. When you turn your back on him, when you curse him with your wicked speech, and decide to instead replace him with someone else. Just like you, he feels pain. Hes jealous for you. Hes yearning for YOU. Imagine, Jesus DIED for us, and yet we turn from him and give our love to another. He will WAIT for you, but how long will you spend searching for him in all the wrong places. He's kind, he'll never hurt you, and he wants YOU. All of you. Even those secrets that you thought you could hide from the world. He sees them, and he still wants you. "Lift up your your head beloved, I miss you" he whispers.

We are running from the only person that could love our broken souls, mend our torn hearts. There is God sized hole in your heart, and filling it with things in the world will never fill it. You'll always be lonely. You'll always be vigorously searching. But'll Jesus will be the gentlemen that he is, and he won't force you to love him. But child, he's anxiously awaiting for your return.

. You're wanted. Will you answer the call?

Fearful vs Fearless

Living with fear is, rough. Fear limits you. Not only that, it limits God's GREAT plan that he designed specifically for you. He made you with the unique personality that only you have. Everything about you, from your smile down to your walk, from your interests to your dislikes, God gave YOU these qualities so that you may fulfill the wonderful adventure that he has carefully planned for your life.
But how do we let Fear affect us? Do you even realize that you, my friend have been called out of darkness into his MARVELOUS light?!  Who told you that you are not good enough for something or somebody? Who told you that you are nothing? Who gave you the Fearful lifestyle that you are living out. It certainly wasn't God.

Perfect love, casts out fear. Dear Christian, you are LIVING in perfect love. Imagine, you have someone that made the sky. Made the ground you walk on. Made the beauty of the seasons. He can control everything you see. He told you he will give you NO MORE then you can bare. And even then, Gods grace gives you the strength to get through whatever it is that is making you afraid.

I know this. In fact, I used to live this fearFUL life. I'm a scaredy cat. Kinda. I tell myself that I'm not good enough to lead this activity, or I question Gods plan for me. What if I fail God what if I'm rejected?!?  The voice telling me that I couldn't do whatever it was happened to be a lie. I am a child of a King, meaning that thanks to Jesus Christ I have EVERYTHING I could ever want or need. Not necessarily material items, but I'm wealthy in love, grace, mercy, and FREEDOM. I am FREE from fear. And YOU CAN BE TOO. If you are fearful, it's as if Jesus came down here for nothing! Being fearful is not having enough FAITH that God is proctecting you in your circumstances.

I  tend to think back to Moses when I think I can't do something, or that I'm not worthy for whatever reason.

Moses, the man with the stutter, the murderer. Moses whom God calls his friend. God told Moses there would be hard times. Nothing would be EASY. Being great is NEVER easy. But God calls us to it. Eventually, through many trails and tribulations, Moses was able to deliver the children of God from Egypt. Was he scared? OH YEAH! He even told God that He was WRONG. Yet, Moses went and carried out Gods great plan for his life. Friend, you are Moses.  God has called you to be great, yet you fear, and stop yourself from ever being so. Even in this season of hardship, where you can't see a way out of the struggle, out of the pain, remember God is preparing you to be great. Don't fear the unknown, rather trust that your loving daddy is watching over your every breath, and he will never let you break.

Don't limit God friend, let him use you. I promise, awaiting for you is life full of complete joy and happiness.

I want to encourage you to pray for more faith in our Dad. Fear is a result of a lack of faith. I challenge you to ask yourself, Do you really believe God has a perfect plan for your life? Do you really believe that he loves you dearly? You are his beloved. Imagine that, as ugly and sinful and dirty as we our, God washes us clean, and adopts us into his family. We are HEIRS friends. Do you believe that? Do you LIVE that?

Although we may fear, it's important not to DWELL in it.  If you take a look at Psalms, even David was afraid, YET he believed that God would walk him through anything.
With any fear, from life threatening to a fear of not succeeding in college, remember that you have a GOD who yearns for your heart.

He's calling for you.
